It prescribes practical dharma for a householder: earn wealth by lawful means, maintain tattva-jñāna (right knowledge), practice atithi-sevā (guest-hospitality), and perform śrāddha (ancestral rites) alongside truthfulness.
It demonstrates the text’s dharma-śāstra dimension—integrating ethics (truth, just livelihood), social duty (hospitality), and ritual practice (śrāddha) with the soteriological goal (mokṣa), showing the Purana’s wide coverage beyond mythology.
It teaches that liberation is not restricted to renunciants: a gṛhastha who lives ethically, performs obligatory rites, and is grounded in true knowledge can also be freed from bondage.
