FAQs

It assigns specific functional results to common substances: milk for strength and intellect, curd for prosperity, kuśa-water for purification from sin, and pañcagavya for full ritual purity/eligibility.

It blends Ayurvedic-style dietetics (effects of milk/curd) with prāyaścitta and ritual purity technology (kuśa-water, pañcagavya), showing the text’s practical coverage across medicine and dharma.

Kuśa-water and pañcagavya are presented as purifiers that terminate sin and restore eligibility—implying karmic cleansing and readiness for rites, worship, and sanctioned participation in sacred acts.
