Related Themes: Agni Purana 259 (kāmya-karma homa-prayoga sequence)
It prescribes specific kāmya-homa oblations: ghee-smeared, pair-strung jasmine flowers for obtaining a bride, and sesame with rice-grains for attaining a village/settlement (property/land).
It exemplifies the Purana’s practical ritual manual aspect—cataloging targeted rites (kāmya-karmas) with precise materials and intended results, alongside its wider coverage of theology, polity, medicine, and arts.
It frames worldly aims (marriage, land/settlement) as to be pursued through regulated sacrificial action, emphasizing disciplined offering into Agni as a karmic means believed to harmonize desire with ritual order (dharma).
