FAQs

It teaches technical tools of Sanskrit śāstra: how meaning is confirmed via vigraha (compound-analysis) and how an upamā (simile) is identified using the upamā-dyotaka (comparison marker) and the upameya (the compared subject).

Beyond theology, the text preserves śāstric learning—here, grammatical/poetic diagnostics (samāsa-vigraha and upamā-terminology), showing the Agni Purana as a compendium of literary science alongside ritual and dharma.

Mastery of correct expression and interpretation supports accurate recitation, teaching, and transmission of dharma-texts; clarity in śabda (language) is treated as a means to preserve sacred knowledge without distortion.
