The Dharma of the Student Stage
गर्भात्तु द्वादशे वैश्ये षोडशाब्दादितो न हि मुञ्जानां वल्कलानान्तु क्रमान्मौज्ज्याः प्रकीर्तिताः
garbhāttu dvādaśe vaiśye ṣoḍaśābdādito na hi muñjānāṃ valkalānāntu kramānmaujjyāḥ prakīrtitāḥ
بالنسبة للڤايشيا (Vaiśya)، ينبغي إقامة طقس الأوبانايانا (upanayana) في السنة الثانية عشرة محسوبةً من وقت الحمل؛ ولا ينبغي إجراؤه ابتداءً من السنة السادسة عشرة (أي بعد تجاوز الحد). ووفق الترتيب المقرر تُعلَن الأحزمة المقدسة (maujī) أنها تُصنع من عشب المُنْجا (muñja) ومن ألياف لحاء الشجر.
