Related Themes: Agni Purana 298 (Bāla-tantra conclusion); Agni Purana 299 (graha-hṛn-mantra-ādi opening)
It introduces Graha-apahāra (removal of afflictive ‘grahas’) through specific mantras and allied rites, framed as a practical method to subdue spirit-like or astral afflictions—especially relevant to child-protection (bāla-tantra).
By shifting from devotional invocation into a specialized applied topic—mantra-based remedial rites (graha-śānti) linked to diet, purity, and mental states—showing the Purana’s coverage of ritual healing alongside theology.
It implies that disturbances attributed to grahas can be mitigated through purity (aśuci-avoidance), right diet (viruddha-bhojana avoidance), and mantra-ritual discipline—aligning personal conduct with protective religious remedies.
