Related Themes: Agni Purana 295 (raksha-mantra section); Agni Purana 296 (visha-nivarana mantra-prayoga)
It lists specific deity-linked mantras used as practical prayogas for viṣa-haraṇa (poison removal) and for increasing āyus (longevity) and ārogya (health), highlighting Prasāda-, Saura-, Vināyaka-, and Rudra-mantras as broadly applicable protective/healing formulas.
Alongside theology, it preserves applied mantra-vidyā—cataloging named mantras and their stated effects (anti-poison, vitality, health)—showing the Purāṇa’s compendium-style coverage of ritual technology and well-being practices.
By invoking grace-bestowing and deity-protective mantras for removing poison and sustaining life, the verse frames health and safety as outcomes of dharmic devotion and mantra-sādhana, linking bodily welfare with purification and divine protection.
