Ayurvedic diet-therapy: it prescribes milk-drinking and a meat-broth cooked with dīpanīya (digestive-stimulating) ingredients for a person weakened by ‘mada’ (intoxication/excess).
It shows the Purana functioning as a compendium beyond mythology—preserving practical Ayurvedic guidance on convalescence, nutrition, and digestive management alongside religious and cosmological material.
By recommending restorative, sattvika-leaning convalescent measures (milk and properly prepared broth), the text frames bodily balance and recovery as supportive of dharma—helping one regain fitness for duties, worship, and disciplined living.
