Indrajit and Lakshmana: War-Boasts, Rebuke, and the Clash
युयुधातेतदावीरौग्रहाविवनभोगतौ ।।।।बलवृत्राविवाभीतौयुधितौदुष्प्रधर्षणौ ।
yuyudhāte tadā vīrau grahāv iva nabhogatau |
balavṛtrāv ivābhītau yudhi tau duṣpradharṣaṇau ||
Then the two heroes fought on—shining like two heavenly bodies in the sky—clashing in battle like Indra and Vṛtra, fearless and hard for any foe to overpower.
"Now I will send you to the abode of Yama with sharp arrows, tridents, pikes, spears and lances."
Dharma is shown as perseverance in rightful struggle: even when opponents are evenly matched, the dharmic side must continue with courage and discipline until justice prevails.
