These bark garments have been tied high up; this must be the route marked for recognition by Lakshmana, for finding the way when one wishes to move at unusual hours.
Here are long bark garments fastened on lofty places as marks of identification left by Lakshmana, to locate the path at odd times which may be needed while going out.
Dharma as foresight in protection: Lakshmana’s markings show responsible care for safe movement and return, supporting the righteous mission.
While following traces in the forest, Bharata identifies Lakshmana’s deliberate signs—bark cloth tied high—to mark the route.
Lakshmana’s vigilance and practical wisdom—he anticipates danger and prepares guidance for difficult travel conditions.
