When his consorts had arrived, the king—lord of the earth—looking upon them, said to the charioteer: “Sumantra, bring in my son.”
Usher in my son (Rama), O Sumantra, said the lord of the world (king Dasaratha) to the charioteer on seeing his wives arrive.
Accountable family procedure: the king waits for the household to assemble before summoning Rāma, reflecting orderly conduct and legitimacy.
After the queens arrive, Daśaratha instructs Sumantra to usher Rāma into his presence.
Daśaratha’s adherence to formal household protocol and gravity in family affairs.
