वृत्रमभ्यद्रवच्छत्रुमसुरानीकयूथपै: । पर्यस्तमोजसा राजन् क्रुद्धो रुद्र इवान्तकम् ॥ १५ ॥
vṛtram abhyadravac chatrum asurānīka-yūthapaiḥ paryastam ojasā rājan kruddho rudra ivāntakam
My dear King Parīkṣit, as Rudra, being very angry at Antaka [Yamarāja] had formerly run toward Antaka to kill him, Indra angrily and with great force attacked Vṛtrāsura, who was surrounded by the leaders of the demoniac armies.
This verse describes Vṛtra charging Indra with immense strength, supported by the chiefs of the asura armies, and compares his fury to Rudra confronting Death—showing his overwhelming battle-might.
The comparison highlights the intensity and fearsome force of Vṛtra’s attack—Rudra symbolizes unstoppable, destructive power when enraged, making the scene vivid for King Parīkṣit.
The verse illustrates focused determination and courage in confronting formidable challenges—channeling strong energy with purpose rather than hesitation.
