Lord Viṣṇu [Garbhodakaśāyī Viṣṇu] is also known as Sahasra-śīrṣā Puruṣa. From the lake of His navel sprang a lotus, on which Lord Brahmā was generated. Atri, the son of Lord Brahmā, was as qualified as his father.
This verse states that Dhātā (Brahmā), the creator, was born from the lotus arising from the navel-lake of the thousand-headed Supreme Person.
Atri is described here as the son of Dhātā (Brahmā), and he is said to be equal to his father in good qualities.
By reflecting that even cosmic creators arise from the Supreme Lord, one cultivates humility, devotion, and a God-centered view of one’s duties.
