Govardhana-dhāraṇa: Kṛṣṇa Lifts Govardhana and Humbles Indra
दिवि देवगणा: सिद्धा: साध्या गन्धर्वचारणा: । तुष्टुवुर्मुमुचुस्तुष्टा: पुष्पवर्षाणि पार्थिव ॥ ३१ ॥
divi deva-gaṇāḥ siddhāḥ sādhyā gandharva-cāraṇāḥ tuṣṭuvur mumucus tuṣṭāḥ puṣpa-varṣāṇi pārthiva
In the heavens, O King, all the demigods, including the Siddhas, Sādhyas, Gandharvas and Cāraṇas, sang the praises of Lord Kṛṣṇa and showered down flowers in great satisfaction.
The demigods in heaven were just as jubilant as the residents of Vṛndāvana, and thus a great universal festival took place.
This verse shows that the heavenly beings express approval and devotion by praising Kṛṣṇa and showering flowers when His divine protection and glory are revealed.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī is narrating to Parīkṣit Mahārāja, describing how the celestial beings reacted with praise during the Govardhana pastime.
Offer gratitude and glorification when you witness protection, grace, or upliftment—cultivating devotion (bhakti) rather than taking blessings for granted.
