Dhruva Mahārāja thereafter lived in his father’s palace, which had walls bedecked with highly valuable jewels. His affectionate father took particular care of him, and he dwelled in that house just as the demigods live in their palaces in the higher planetary systems.
This verse says Dhruva lived in a magnificent jewel-adorned palace and was lovingly cared for by his father, enjoying comforts like a resident of heaven.
After Dhruva’s spiritual greatness became evident, Uttanapada’s heart softened and he deeply cherished his son, honoring him and caring for him intimately.
Even while living amid comfort, one can remain grounded in devotion—receiving care and prosperity without losing spiritual focus or gratitude.
