Gajendra Prelude

so ’nṛta-vrata-duḥśīlān asato yakṣa-rākṣasān bhūta-druho bhūta-gaṇāṁś cāvadhīt satyajit-sakhaḥ
Satyasena, along with His friend Satyajit, who was the King of heaven, Indra, killed all the untruthful, impious and misbehaved Yakṣas, Rākṣasas and ghostly living entities, who gave pains to other living beings.
This verse condemns those who are untrue to their vows and depicts them as irreligious and dangerous, fit to be restrained by righteous authority.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī is narrating to Mahārāja Parīkṣit, describing the suppression of wicked Yakṣas and Rākṣasas.
Keep truthful commitments, cultivate good character, and protect others from harm—standing against cruelty and exploitation through dharmic means.
