इति य इदमधीते सोऽपि कृतकृत्यो भवति। सुरापानात्पूतो भवति। स्वर्णस्तेयात्पूतो भवति। ब्रह्महत्यात्पूतो भवति। कृत्याकृत्यात्पूतो भवति। एवं विदित्वा स्वेच्छाचारपरो भूयाद् ॐ सत्यमित्युपनिषत्॥३६॥

IAST Transliteration

iti ya idam adhīte so 'pi kṛtakṛtyo bhavati | surāpānāt pūto bhavati | svarṇasteyāt pūto bhavati | brahmahatyāt pūto bhavati | kṛtyākṛtyāt pūto bhavati | evaṃ viditvā svecchācāraparo bhūyād oṃ satyam ity upaniṣat ||36||

Translation

如是，凡诵习此教者，亦成就所当成就者。彼得净除饮酒之罪；得净除盗金之罪；得净除杀害婆罗门之罪；得净除由邪术及诸不当行所生之罪。既如是知，当安住于随自愿而行之自在行。唵——真实：此即奥义书。

Academic Translation

Thus, whoever studies this (teaching) becomes one who has accomplished what is to be accomplished. He becomes purified from drinking intoxicants; he becomes purified from stealing gold; he becomes purified from killing a brāhmaṇa; he becomes purified from (sins arising from) sorcery and from what ought not to be done. Having thus known, one should become devoted to conduct according to one’s own will. Om—Truth: thus is the Upaniṣad.
