अन्यत्तीर्थवरं ब्रूहि तत्त्वेन मम शृण्वतः । न तृप्तिरस्ति मनसः शृण्वतो मम सुव्रत
anyattīrthavaraṃ brūhi tattvena mama śṛṇvataḥ | na tṛptirasti manasaḥ śṛṇvato mama suvrata
请如实为我宣说另一处最殊胜的圣渡处,当我聆听之时;因为我心听闻不知厌足——噢,持善誓者。
Vyāsa
Listener: A brāhmaṇa interlocutor (addressed as suvṛta)
Scene: A humble brāhmaṇa-listener sits before sage Agastya, hands folded, requesting another supreme tīrtha; the setting suggests an āśrama near the Sarayū with distant ghāṭs and banyan trees.
A sincere seeker remains ‘unsatisfied’ in the best sense—always eager to learn more dharma and tīrtha-mahima.
The verse asks for a new tīrtha; the answer given next identifies it as Svargadvāra.
No ritual is prescribed; it is a request for truthful instruction about a tīrtha.
