तस्मादपींद्रसेनाख्यस्तस्य पुत्रो महाबलः । चंद्रांगदोस्मि नाम्नाहं नवोढः श्वशुरालये । विहरन्यमुनातोये निमग्नो देवचोदितः
tasmādapīṃdrasenākhyastasya putro mahābalaḥ | caṃdrāṃgadosmi nāmnāhaṃ navoḍhaḥ śvaśurālaye | viharanyamunātoye nimagno devacoditaḥ
“由他生出因陀罗塞那，力大无比；我乃其子，名月臂（Candrāṅgada）。新婚之时寄居岳父家中，我在阎牟那河水中嬉游，却被没入水底——乃受天意所驱。”
