Mantra 34

Rishi: Yājñavalkya (Vājasaneyin tradition; Aśvamedha corpus ascribed to the school-lineage).

Devata: Indeterminate/ritual substance as protector (often treated as addressed to the consecrated bhakṣa/havis as a deified power).

प्रा॒ण॒पा मे॑ अपान॒पाश्च॑क्षु॒ष्पाः श्रो॑त्र॒पाश्च॑ मे । वाचो॑ मे वि॒श्वभे॑षजो॒ मन॑सोऽसि वि॒लाय॑कः

Transliteration

prāṇapā́ me apānapā́ś cákṣuṣpā́ḥ śrótrapā́ś ca me | vā́co me viśvábheṣajo mánaso ’si vilā́yakaḥ ||

Translation

你是我气息（prāṇa）的守护者，也是我出息（apāna）的守护者；你是我眼见的守护者，也是我听闻的守护者。你于我言语为普遍之良药（viśvabheṣaja）；你于我心意为解缚者、松解者（vilāyaka）。
