其后,由于那柱显现为祂自身林伽之标记,无分之主湿婆(niṣkala)从柱中显出自性林伽,出于慈悲,愿诸世界得安乐。

Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Liṅgodbhava
Sthala Purana: From the stambha marked as His own sign, Śiva reveals the Liṅga for jagat-hita (welfare of worlds). This frames the Liṅga as Śiva’s compassionate, accessible epiphany—transcendent yet worshippable.
Significance: Darśana of the Liṅga is construed as Śiva’s anugraha made visible; worship of the Liṅga becomes a universal upāya (means) for beings across varṇa/āśrama.
Type: stotra
Role: liberating
Cosmic Event: grace-event: self-disclosure of the Liṅga from the cosmic pillar
It teaches that the transcendent, partless Śiva (niṣkala) out of grace makes Himself accessible through the Liṅga, so devotees can approach the formless Reality via a sacred, worship-worthy sign.
Although Śiva is beyond form, He reveals a tangible focus (the Liṅga) from the pillar, establishing Liṅga-worship as a compassionate bridge from saguna devotion to realization of the nirguṇa/niṣkala truth.
Meditate on Śiva as niṣkala while worshipping the Liṅga with reverence—performing Liṅga-darśana and simple abhiṣeka, and inwardly repeating the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” as an act of grace-centered devotion.
