ये त्रिपुण्ड्रधरा लोके जटाधारिण एव ये । ये रुद्रा क्षधरास्ते वै यमलोकं प्रयांति न

此世间,凡佩持三道圣灰之三横纹(Tripuṇḍra)者,凡结发为髻(jāṭā)者,凡佩戴鲁陀罗叉者——如是奉献者,确不往阎摩之界。

Significance: Assures ‘Yama-bhaya-nivṛtti’ (freedom from fear of death/judgment) through Śaiva identity markers allied to devotion.
Role: liberating
It declares that visible Shaiva disciplines—Tripuṇḍra (bhasma), jaṭā, and Rudrākṣa—are not mere ornaments but signs of surrendered devotion to Pati (Shiva); such devotion loosens bondage (pāśa) and therefore removes fear of Yama’s jurisdiction.
Tripuṇḍra and Rudrākṣa are classical supports of Saguna Shiva worship, aligning the body and mind with Shiva’s forms and vows; they serve as constant remembrance while performing Linga-pūjā and japa of Shaiva mantras.
Wear Rudrākṣa, apply Tripuṇḍra with sacred ash, and maintain steady Shiva-smaraṇa (remembrance)—especially alongside mantra-japa such as the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya.”
