शिव उवाच । शृणु देविमहेशानि रुद्रा क्षमहिमा शिवे । कथयामि तवप्रीत्या भक्तानां हितकाम्यया

湿婆说道：女神啊，大自在天后啊，伟大的王后、吉祥者——请聆听。为令你欢喜，并为求诸奉爱者之利益，噢，湿婆女神，我将宣说“刹摩”（宽恕）的伟大。
