Bondage and Liberation: The Prakṛti–Karma Wheel and Śiva as the Transcendent Cause
अंगशुश्रूषया चापि धनाद्यैः स्वार्जितैर्गुरुम् । पादादिकेशपर्यंतं लिंगान्यंगानि यद्गुरोः
aṃgaśuśrūṣayā cāpi dhanādyaiḥ svārjitairgurum | pādādikeśaparyaṃtaṃ liṃgānyaṃgāni yadguroḥ
当以恭敬亲侍来奉事上师,又以自己正当所得的财物等资具作供养;并当自上师之足至其顶髻,礼敬其一切圣相与肢体,视之为湿婆(Śiva)可敬之圣征。

It teaches that liberation-oriented devotion begins with Guru-bhakti: serving the Guru with body and honestly earned resources, while viewing the Guru’s person as sanctified by Śiva—thus purifying the soul (paśu) from bonds (pāśa) through right relationship to Pati.
By calling the Guru’s bodily features and sacred marks “liṅgas,” the verse links visible signs to Saguna worship: the devotee learns to recognize Śiva’s presence through consecrated indicators, culminating in reverence to the Linga and to Śiva’s manifest guidance through the Guru.
Practice Guru-seva (daily respectful attendance), offer only svārjita (purely earned) gifts, and cultivate a contemplative attitude that the Guru is a channel of Śiva’s grace—supporting mantra-japa such as the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with humility and discipline.
