करोत्येव हि पूतात्मा प्राणैरपि धनैरपि । तस्माद्वै शासने योग्यः शिष्य इत्यभिधीयते
karotyeva hi pūtātmā prāṇairapi dhanairapi | tasmādvai śāsane yogyaḥ śiṣya ityabhidhīyate
诚然，心灵净化者为侍奉上师与圣教，纵以自身气息之命，亦以财物之资而行。故此人方真称为“弟子”（śiṣya）——堪受上师引导、纠正与训练于其戒律者。
