对妇女而言,规定供奉泥土(陶土)所制的湿婆林伽,尤其适用于与夫同住者;而对虔诚守持法行的寡妇,则宣说以水晶(sphāṭika)林伽为相宜。
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pasha

Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
Offering: pushpa
The verse teaches that Śiva accepts devotion expressed through appropriate, sattvic means: simple clay embodies humility and accessibility, while crystal signifies steadiness and purity for those committed to sustained observance—both directing the mind toward Pati (Śiva) as the liberator.
It affirms Saguna worship through the liṅga as a sanctioned support for meditation and devotion; the material is chosen to match the worshipper’s life-situation and discipline, emphasizing right practice (ācāra) alongside bhakti.
Perform liṅga-pūjā with a suitable liṅga (clay or sphāṭika), offering water and simple upacāras while repeating the Pañcākṣarī—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—with a steady, pure intention.
