Cosmic Event: Manvantara-cycle doctrine (succession of Manus)
It teaches that tapas and righteous karma mature into cosmic responsibility: by accumulated merit, a soul attains the office of Manu, showing Shiva’s orderly governance of time through dharma and spiritual discipline.
Though the verse names Manu rather than the Liṅga, it supports the Shaiva view that devotion, austerity, and right action offered to Saguna Shiva bear fruits across lifetimes, culminating in higher spiritual authority and eventual liberation.
The implied practice is sustained tapas with dharmic conduct—supported in Shaiva tradition by daily Shiva-puja, japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), and disciplined observances that purify karma.
