Shiva Form: Mahadeva
It teaches that worldly sovereignty—even Indra’s—can be overturned, while Śiva’s grace is supreme; pride is corrected through divine governance, urging humility and surrender to Pati (Śiva).
Śiva is invoked here as Śarva, the personal (saguṇa) Lord who grants boons and dispenses justice; devotion to Śiva (as worshipped in the Liṅga) is shown to be higher than deva-status and political power.
Cultivate humility through japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and steady Śiva-bhakti; the practical takeaway is surrendering ego rather than seeking boons for domination.
