It highlights Shiva’s role as Pati (the gracious Lord) who responds to sincere worship with compassion—comforting the devotee and family, then moving freely, showing His sovereignty and benevolence.
The verse emphasizes that when Saguna Shiva is worshiped with reverence (pūjitaḥ), His grace manifests tangibly—here as consolation and protection—affirming the Purana’s devotion-centered approach to Shiva-upasana.
The takeaway is steadfast pūjā and remembrance of Shiva with a calm mind—such as japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and simple devotional worship—seeking Shiva’s reassurance during distress.
