तपः–मन्त्रजप–ध्यानविधिः
Protocol of Tapas, Mantra-Japa, and Śiva-Dhyāna
देवा ऊचुः । नरेणैकेन सर्वेश त्वदर्थे तप आहितम् । यदिच्छति नरस्सोयं किन्न यच्छति तत्प्रभो
devā ūcuḥ | nareṇaikena sarveśa tvadarthe tapa āhitam | yadicchati narassoyaṃ kinna yacchati tatprabho
诸天说道:“噢,万主之主!唯有一人为了你而修行苦行。此人所愿之事——噢,大主——你又怎会不赐予他呢?”
The Devas
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Īśāna
It highlights the Shaiva Siddhanta emphasis that sincere tapas offered for Shiva (Pati) naturally attracts His anugraha (grace), because the Lord responds to authentic devotion and effort directed toward Him.
The verse reflects Saguna Shiva’s accessible, compassionate lordship—He is approached through worship and austerity, and He bestows fruits (boons) to devotees, which in turn can mature into deeper devotion toward the Linga and Shiva’s supreme reality.
The takeaway is committed tapas supported by Shiva-upasana—steady japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), along with simple disciplines like bhasma (Tripundra) and Rudraksha when appropriate, offered with the intention of pleasing Shiva rather than mere gain.
