अमुष्य बालस्य पिता स विदर्भमहीपतिः । पूर्वजन्मनि पाण्ड्योऽसौ बभूव नृपसत्तमः
amuṣya bālasya pitā sa vidarbhamahīpatiḥ | pūrvajanmani pāṇḍyo'sau babhūva nṛpasattamaḥ

Cosmic Event: Rebirth (punarjanma) implied; karmic continuity across lives.
It underscores karma and continuity of the jīva across births: worldly status like kingship can recur due to prior merits, while Shaiva teaching ultimately points beyond such roles toward liberation through devotion to Pati (Shiva).
By highlighting rebirth and shifting identities, the verse implicitly directs the seeker to take refuge in Saguna Shiva (worshipful Lord) and the Linga as the stable spiritual center, rather than clinging to transient social identities.
A practical takeaway is steady japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with remembrance that all worldly stations are impermanent, supporting vairāgya and devotion.
