Nārada and Himālaya: Discourse on Pārvatī’s Signs and Destiny
दृष्ट्वा मुने गिरीशस्त्वां नत्वानर्च स नारद । आहूय च स्वतनयां त्वदङ्घ्र्योस्तामपातयत्
dṛṣṭvā mune girīśastvāṃ natvānarca sa nārada | āhūya ca svatanayāṃ tvadaṅghryostāmapātayat
噢圣者,吉利沙(主湿婆)见到你,便向你顶礼并如法恭敬供养,噢那罗陀。随后他召来自己的女儿,使她在你足下俯伏礼拜。

It highlights Śiva’s own ideal conduct: reverence toward realized sages and devotees. In Shaiva Siddhanta, such humility and honoring of the guru/devotee is a mark of divine grace (anugraha) and supports the soul’s progress toward liberation.
Though the verse is narrative, it reflects Saguna Śiva’s līlā—showing that devotion is not merely ritual but also right relationship: honoring the saintly and bowing to the divine presence in them, which is integral to Shiva-bhakti alongside Linga worship.
Practice guru-bhakti and humility: offer respectful prostration (namaskāra) to saints and elders, and pair it with daily Shiva worship—japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) as an inner expression of the same reverence.
