व्यतीते नवमे मासे दशमे मासि पूर्णतः । गर्भस्थाया गतिन्द्रध्रे कालिका जगदम्बिका
vyatīte navame māse daśame māsi pūrṇataḥ | garbhasthāyā gatindradhre kālikā jagadambikā
当第九月已过、第十月圆满来临之时,依时序所定,迦梨迦(Kālīkā)——世间之母 Jagadambikā、宇宙之母——便从胎中之境而行出。
Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating to the sages at Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Kālāntaka
Shakti Form: Kālī
Role: creative
Cosmic Event: Auspicious birth/manifestation aligned with kāla (time-ordination)
It emphasizes that even divine manifestations unfold according to kāla (cosmic time/order), showing the Mother’s līlā as perfectly aligned with dharma and the ordained rhythm of creation.
By naming Jagadambikā (the cosmic Mother), the verse supports Saguna worship where Shiva and Shakti are revered together—Shiva as Pati (Lord) and Shakti as His inseparable power—often approached through Linga worship accompanied by Devi-bhakti.
A practical takeaway is to observe time-bound vrata and japa with steadiness—such as daily Panchākṣarī japa ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") and simple Linga-pūjā—honoring kāla-niyama (disciplined regularity) as part of sādhanā.
