The verse highlights that sacred action becomes spiritually fruitful when performed with joyful devotion and in alignment with the Guru/Īśvara’s injunction; receiving and consuming the sanctified remainder symbolizes grace (anugraha) entering the devotee’s life.
In Saguna Shiva worship, offerings made to the Lord return as consecrated prasāda; honoring it affirms the devotee’s relationship with Shiva as Pati (Lord) and the worshipper as pashu receiving purification through Shiva’s grace.
It suggests the disciplined practice of offering with reverence and then respectfully partaking of the consecrated remainder (prasāda), cultivating bhakti and inner purity—especially applicable in Shiva-pūjā and vrata observances.
