梵天说道:“美那啊,当以欢喜敬信聆听我这吉祥之言。凡以爱敬之信而闻者,其邪慧与谬断皆将灭尽。”

It teaches that śravaṇa (devotional listening) to auspicious sacred instruction purifies the intellect—removing kubuddhi (misguided cognition) and preparing the seeker for right knowledge and Shiva-bhakti.
In Shaiva practice, hearing Shiva-kathā and teachings is a primary limb of devotion that steadies faith in Saguna Shiva (including Linga worship) and gradually refines understanding toward the highest truth of Pati (Lord Shiva).
Regular śravaṇa of Shiva Purana or Shiva-nāma with prīti (loving attention)—especially on Mondays or Mahāśivarātri—supports mantra-japa (e.g., Pañcākṣarī) by removing mental confusion and strengthening devotion.
