गणसमागमः (Śiva Summons the Gaṇas for the Great Festival)
यज्वाशश्शतमन्युश्च मेघमन्युश्च नारद । तावत्कोट्या ययुस्सर्वे गणेशा हि पृथक्पृथक्
yajvāśaśśatamanyuśca meghamanyuśca nārada | tāvatkoṭyā yayussarve gaṇeśā hi pṛthakpṛthak
噢,纳罗陀,名为耶阇婆舍、舍多曼纽、梅伽曼纽的诸甘尼沙,连同其余一切甘尼沙,皆以同样那般无量俱胝之众而出发;各各分行,往赴自处与自任。
Brahmā (narrating to Nārada)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Paśupatinātha
It highlights Śiva’s limitless, well-ordered divine retinue: innumerable gaṇa-leaders act in harmony, showing that the Lord’s śakti and governance operate through countless empowered beings while Śiva remains the supreme Pati.
The verse reinforces Saguna Śiva’s cosmic lordship: devotion to Śiva (often centered on the Liṅga) includes reverence for His gaṇas as servants of dharma, while recognizing that their power is derived from Śiva alone.
A practical takeaway is gaṇa-smaraṇa with the Pañcākṣarī—japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—and offering bilva leaves to the Liṅga, cultivating humility by remembering that all powers and attendants function under Śiva’s command.
