तस्य स्वाभाविको वेषो भूषाविविरभूत्तदा । तस्येच्छया मुनिश्रेष्ठ परमेशस्य सुप्रभो

Sthala Purana: The verse is a theological aesthetic: Śiva’s ‘natural attire’ itself is ornament, and his radiance manifests by his own will—emphasizing svātantrya (sovereign will) in a Purāṇic idiom.
Significance: Encourages contemplation of Śiva’s self-luminous nature (svaprakāśa) and the doctrine that all auspiciousness arises from his icchā—supporting meditative worship beyond external ornamentation.
Role: liberating
It highlights that Shiva’s glory is intrinsic: even what appears as “simple” or “natural” becomes an ornament through His tejas, revealing that liberation and auspiciousness arise by Parameśvara’s grace (icchā) rather than mere external display.
It supports Saguna worship by affirming that the Lord’s manifest form and splendour are purposeful expressions of His will; Linga/Saguna upāsanā trains the devotee to recognize the Supreme in visible signs of radiance, purity, and auspicious presence.
Contemplate Shiva’s tejas while doing japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and apply bhasma (Tripuṇḍra) as a reminder that the Lord’s grace transforms the “ordinary” into sacred ornamentation.
