मङ्गलपत्रिकाग्रहणम् — Reception of the Auspicious Marriage Invitation
शिव उवाच । विष्णुप्रभृतिदेवांश्च मुनीन्सिद्धानपि ध्रुवम् । त्वन्निमन्त्रय मद्वाण्या मुनेऽन्यानपि सर्वतः
śiva uvāca | viṣṇuprabhṛtidevāṃśca munīnsiddhānapi dhruvam | tvannimantraya madvāṇyā mune'nyānapi sarvataḥ
湿婆说道:“务必邀请毗湿奴及诸天众神,也要邀请诸牟尼与悉地者。噢,圣贤啊,依我亲口之命,还当从四方邀请其余一切众生。”
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
The verse shows Śiva as Pati (the Supreme Lord) who orchestrates the cosmic order by His will—gathering devas, sages, and siddhas—indicating that even exalted beings act within His sovereign guidance.
Though not explicitly mentioning the Liṅga, it reflects Saguna Śiva functioning as the accessible Lord who gives direct commands and arranges sacred events—an idea central to Purāṇic devotion where worship is performed under Śiva’s grace and direction.
The practical takeaway is “nimantraṇa” (invocation): in pūjā and vrata, one mentally invites the deities and siddhas; devotees can mirror this through sankalpa and mantra-japa (especially pañcākṣarī, Om Namaḥ Śivāya) before worship.
