同样,山王吉林陀罗(喜马拉雅)满怀至上的欢喜,为了自己女儿之故而周备安排一切。又以大威德的圣者伽尔伽(Garga)为先导,启动了吉祥的求婚提议,确为可呈之事。
Sūta Gosvāmin
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Sthala Purana: No Jyotirliṅga linkage; the verse narrates Himālaya’s formalizing of the marriage proposal with sage Garga as leading officiant.
Significance: Highlights dharmic mediation (ṛṣi as purohita) as a means for aligning worldly rites with divine will—an outer sign of inner readiness for Śiva’s grace.
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: liberating
The verse highlights dharmic intentionality: Himālaya’s joyful, careful arrangements for Pārvatī are not mere worldly celebration, but a sacred alignment of family duty with the divine purpose of union with Śiva.
Though the Liṅga is not named here, the context is the unfolding of Śiva’s saguna līlā through Pārvatī’s life; the ‘auspicious proposal’ supports devotion by preparing the conditions for her destined union with Lord Śiva, the compassionate Pati who grants grace and liberation.
The takeaway is to begin important vows and life-decisions with sumaṅgala intent and guidance from a qualified guru/ācārya; devotees may accompany such beginnings with japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and a prayer for Śiva’s anugraha (grace).
