就在此时,有一位婆罗门前来——奉行毗湿奴派戒行之人;他虽似以亲善之意指向湿婆,却说出了违逆(真理与正当虔敬)之言。

It highlights that outward friendliness or religious identity is not enough—speech and intention must align with true reverence for Pati (Śiva). In Shaiva Siddhānta, right understanding and humility are essential for bhakti to mature toward grace (anugraha).
The verse sets a narrative contrast: one may approach Saguna Śiva (worshipful, approachable Lord) yet still err through contrary notions. Proper Linga-worship requires śraddhā, respectful doctrine, and alignment of thought, word, and deed toward Śiva.
The takeaway is to purify speech and intent while approaching Śiva—recite the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with sincerity, and maintain disciplined conduct (ācāra) such as bhasma-dhāraṇa and mindful worship, avoiding disparaging or contradictory talk.
