इन्द्रादिलोकपालांश्च हित्वा शिवमनु व्रता । नैतत्सूक्तं हि लोकेषु विरुद्धं दृश्यतेऽधुना
indrādilokapālāṃśca hitvā śivamanu vratā | naitatsūktaṃ hi lokeṣu viruddhaṃ dṛśyate'dhunā
即便舍弃因陀罗等诸世界守护者,持戒守誓、归依湿婆者,唯与湿婆相应而住。诚然,此教诲于诸世间至今未见有任何相违之处。

It affirms that the highest refuge is Pati—Śiva—above all worldly authorities (even Indra and the Lokapālas). In Shaiva Siddhanta terms, the bound soul (paśu) loosens dependence on external powers and turns to Śiva’s grace as the true means to liberation.
Exclusive allegiance to Śiva is practically expressed through Saguna worship—especially Śiva-liṅga pūjā—where the devotee offers body, speech, and mind to Śiva alone, seeing other deities as subordinate cosmic functions rather than the final liberator.
Undertake a Śiva-vrata with steady daily liṅga-arcana, pañcākṣarī japa ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya"), and a disciplined vow of single-pointed devotion—supported by simple purity observances such as bhasma (tripuṇḍra) and rudrākṣa where appropriate.
