yadi bhaktyā śivasyāhaṃ nirvikārā yathoditam | sarveśvarasya cātyaṃtaṃ saṃprasīdatu śaṃkaraḥ
若我因对湿婆的虔敬,确已如所宣说而成不变之境,则愿商羯罗——万有之主——彻然欢悦,慈悲垂允。
Pārvatī
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Significance: Frames bhakti as the means for Śiva’s prasāda (anugraha), implying inner purification and loosening of pāśa (bondage) culminating in Śiva’s grace.
Mantra: सर्वेश्वरस्य चात्यंतं संप्रसीदतु शंकरः
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: liberating
The verse highlights that true bhakti culminates in nirvikāratā—inner steadiness free from agitation—and that liberation is ultimately sealed by Śiva’s prasāda (grace), as Śaṅkara becomes fully pleased with the devotee’s purified state.
Devotion to Saguna Śiva—often practiced through Liṅga-pūjā—purifies the antaḥkaraṇa (inner instrument) until it becomes nirvikāra; that inner ripening is then offered back as a prayer for Śiva’s complete satisfaction and blessing.
A practical takeaway is steady bhakti-sādhana such as daily Liṅga worship with bhasma (Tripuṇḍra), japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), and maintaining a calm, unmodified mind dedicated to seeking Śiva’s grace.
