dhanyā ca sītayā sīradhvajo janakavaṃśajaḥ | jīvanmukto mahāyogī vaikuṇṭhaṃ ca gamiṣyati

Tattva Level: pashu
Sthala Purana: Not a Jyotirliṅga passage; the verse praises Janaka and Sītā, framing liberation as attainable through dharma and yogic insight, with ‘Vaikuṇṭha’ used as a conventional name for the supreme abode.
Significance: General teaching: association with dharma and realized beings culminates in release from bondage; encourages śravaṇa/manana of purāṇic kathā as a sādhana.
Shakti Form: Satī
Role: liberating
It praises the rare attainment of jīvanmukti—inner freedom while still embodied—showing that true yoga culminates in liberation, not merely worldly virtue, and that such realized souls reach the highest state after death.
In the Shiva Purana’s devotional frame, jīvanmukti is supported by steadfast dharma and God-centered contemplation; Linga/Saguna-Shiva worship is presented elsewhere in the text as a powerful means to purify bondage (pāśa) and steady the mind toward liberation.
The verse points to mature yoga leading to liberation; a practical takeaway aligned with Shiva Purana practice is daily mantra-japa (especially Shiva-focused japa), supported by disciplined conduct and meditation on the Lord as the inner Self.
