नारद उवाच । विधे प्राज्ञ वदेदानीं मेनोत्पत्तिं समादरात् । अपि शापं समाचक्ष्व कुरु संदेहभंजनम्
nārada uvāca | vidhe prājña vadedānīṃ menotpattiṃ samādarāt | api śāpaṃ samācakṣva kuru saṃdehabhaṃjanam
那罗陀说道：“噢，睿智的造物主毗陀罗（梵天）啊，请你如今以恭敬之心细述梅那的起源。也请说明那诅咒之事，从而粉碎我心中的疑惑。”
