काम-शक्र-संवादः / Dialogue of Kāma and Śakra
Indra
यतो हितं प्रजायेत ततः को नु प्रियः परः । तस्मान्मित्रवरस्त्वं हि मत्कार्य्यं कर्तुमर्हसि
yato hitaṃ prajāyeta tataḥ ko nu priyaḥ paraḥ | tasmānmitravarastvaṃ hi matkāryyaṃ kartumarhasi
真正的安乐与利益由谁而生——还有谁能比他更可亲?因此,既然你是至上的挚友,你确实堪当为我成办此事。
Pārvatī (addressing her confidant/attendant in the narrative context of the Pārvatīkhaṇḍa)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: teaching
It elevates “hita” (true welfare aligned with dharma) as the measure of genuine love and trust, teaching that the dearest relationship is the one that supports spiritual and righteous well-being.
Though not directly naming the Liṅga, it reflects Saguna-bhakti ethics: the devotee serves the divine purpose through trusted service and dharmic action, which supports Shiva-centered life and worship.
The practical takeaway is sevā (devotional service) performed with faith and loyalty; as a supporting practice, one may steady the mind with japa of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” before undertaking any dharmic duty.
