Lord Shiva (narrative voice within Rudrasaṃhitā, Pārvatīkhaṇḍa)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Role: liberating
It highlights Shiva’s role as Devahita—one who actively sustains cosmic order by protecting the Devas—showing that divine grace is not passive but compassionately engaged for dharma.
The verse reflects Saguna Shiva’s responsive, personal aspect: the Lord who comes, acts, and grants victory—qualities devotees contemplate while worshiping the Shiva-Linga as the accessible form of the Supreme.
A practical takeaway is to remember Shiva as protector through japa of the Panchakshara (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and to approach worship with “susāmagī”—proper preparation, purity, and complete offerings.
