Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
The verse highlights that even the highest cosmic powers (Brahmā and Viṣṇu) act under Śiva’s ājñā, affirming Śiva as Pati (the supreme Lord) whose will harmonizes the devas toward dharma and divine purpose.
It reflects Saguna Śiva as the personal Lord who issues compassionate commands to uphold cosmic order; devotion to the Liṅga trains the worshipper in the same attitude of śaraṇāgati—aligning one’s actions with Śiva’s will.
A practical takeaway is disciplined obedience (ājñā-anusaraṇa) expressed through daily Śiva-pūjā—reciting the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” and offering bhakti with steadiness and promptness (sadyaḥ) like the devas.
