It highlights Shiva’s core Shaiva attribute as dīnavatsala—one whose grace (anugraha) naturally turns toward the suffering devotee—affirming Him as Parameśvara who uplifts the bound soul through compassion.
By naming Shiva as Śaṅkara and Parameśvara, the verse supports Saguna upāsanā—devotion to the Lord with attributes—commonly expressed in Shiva Purana through Linga worship as a concrete focus for receiving Shiva’s grace.
A practical takeaway is humble bhakti: address Shiva as “Svāmin” and “Dīnavatsala,” chant the Panchākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with surrender, and offer simple worship (water, bilva leaves, or bhasma/tripundra) seeking His compassionate anugraha.
