गणेशाभिषेक-वरदान-विधानम् | Gaṇeśa’s Consecration, Boons, and Prescribed Worship
पुष्पैर्वा चन्दनैर्वापि गन्धेनैव शुभेन च । नैवेद्ये सुरम्येण नीराजेन विधानतः
puṣpairvā candanairvāpi gandhenaiva śubhena ca | naivedye suramyeṇa nīrājena vidhānataḥ
应依仪轨礼敬湿婆:或献花,或献檀香,或献吉祥妙香;并奉上精美的那伊维德亚(naivedya,食供),又按法行尼罗阇那(nīrājana,摇灯献光)之礼。

Significance: Establishes the general Śaiva pūjā-mārga: offering upacāras to Śiva purifies the paśu and becomes a means for Śiva’s anugraha (grace) to remove mala and ripen the soul for liberation.
Offering: naivedya
The verse affirms that devotion becomes steady and purifying when expressed through disciplined, reverent offerings—fragrance, flowers, food, and light—performed according to śāstric vidhi, aligning the worshipper (paśu) toward Śiva (Pati).
These offerings are classic upacāras of Saguna worship, especially in Liṅga-pūjā: scent (gandha), flowers (puṣpa), naivedya, and nīrājana. Through tangible rites, the devotee approaches the formless (Nirguna) reality of Śiva via a consecrated form.
Perform orderly Shiva-pūjā with gandha, puṣpa, naivedya, and nīrājana; while offering, maintain bhakti and inward remembrance—optionally repeating the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” as the mental support of the rite.
