तारक-कुमार-युद्धवर्णनम् / Description of the Battle between Tāraka and Kumāra
शक्तिहस्तौ च तौ वीरौ युयुधाते परस्परम् । सर्वेषां पश्यतां तत्र महाश्चर्यवतां मुने
śaktihastau ca tau vīrau yuyudhāte parasparam | sarveṣāṃ paśyatāṃ tatra mahāścaryavatāṃ mune
噢,牟尼啊,那两位英雄各执一柄“室迦底”(神矛)于手,在彼处相互搏战;众人目睹,皆为这奇妙景象而惊叹。

The verse highlights the awe-inspiring nature of divine events: even intense conflict becomes a “wonder” when seen within Shiva’s cosmic order, reminding devotees to witness life’s opposites with steadiness and devotion to Pati (Shiva), the Lord who governs all outcomes.
Though the verse describes a battle scene, it supports Saguna-bhakti: devotees contemplate Shiva’s manifest governance of the world where valor, weapons, and destiny operate under His supreme will—leading the mind back to the Linga as the stable center beyond all motion.
A practical takeaway is to cultivate “witness-consciousness” during agitation: recite the Panchakshara mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) while mentally offering all conflict and fear into Shiva, the inner Linga of awareness, seeking calm and clarity.
